Love Me If You Dare

I just watched a french film titled “Love Me If Your Dare.” It was really wonderful. There were things about it that were beautiful both visually and in meaning.

It was especially interesting to me because the lead female was also in La Vien Rose, playing Edith Piaf in her youth, and there were some interesting connections between the two movies regardless of the contrasting content. This movie has really inspired me and added to the plan/idea i have been forming for this video project. Hopefully i can show the intro to the movie in class Thursday, its only a minute or two and the imagery is very unique!

I have decided not to take on a long term project because I would rather continue working on quality shorter videos. I plan to make this video between 1 minute and 8 minutes, i know that is quite a range, but i keep feeling inspired by different things so i don’t want to commit to a certain time, i want to see what i end up with footage-wise. I have also been doing some water color painting that i would really like to incorporate. Also, I have become very interested in the writer/poet Carl Sandburg, i plan to use one of his poems as text in my video. Right now i am working on deciding from a few, his writing is very inspiring.

My goal is to have this video complete/ready for critique, by Tuesday or Thursday next week. I am waiting to find out about the availability of a location which  will effect the timing of my video falling together.
